Professor Yoshihiro Narita, D.Eng., Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan
Dr. Narita is the vice dean of engineering of Hokkaido university. He is the worldwide recognized expert in vibration and buckling of structural component. His research focuses are composite material, optimum structural design, and system engineering. He is the author 110 journal publications, more than 90 proceedings, and 9 books. He started his academic career at Hokkaido Institute of Technology in 1980 before joined to the current position at Hokkaido university in 2004. He is a fellow and the executive board director of JSME. He finished his doctoral degree at Hokkaido university in 1980.

Title : Nano-Level Dynamic and Control Issues of Information Storage Devices
Professor Young-Pil Park, Ph.D., Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea
Young-Pil Park is a professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering, Yonsei University. He received his PhD degree from Texas Tech University in 1977 and joined Yonsei University in the same year. His teaching and research areas are dynamics, vibration, and control of mechanical devices and systems. He has been involved in the research activities of mechanical vibration issues of HDD and ODD for more than 15 years as a director of CISD(center for information storage devices, ERC) and CISM (center for information storage mechatronics, CRC). He has published more than 70 international journal papers and 170 international proceeding papers in the last five years. He is actively involved in several international academic activities related to data storage technology such as ISOM, ODS, APMRC, APDSC, ISOS. He served as president of several Korean academic societies such as Noise and Vibration Engineering, New and Renewable Energy, and Information Storage Systems. He is the current chair of Mechanical Engineering Division in The National Academy of Engineering of Korea. And he received National Medal of Science and Technology in 2006 for his achievements.
